Stars in Europe - Cameroon - Transfer - Baleba's dream move to Manchester United

Carlos Baleba

Manchester United have completed the signing of the Cameroon international from Brighton, further strengthening a midfield already boosted this summer by Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.

The Details

Baleba has put pen to paper on a five-year deal, with the option of a further year. Baleba said. "Playing at Old Trafford is always special, but the opportunity to do so as a Manchester United player will be a real honour."

An Emotional Brighton Farewell
Baleba leaves the Seagulls after 112 appearances and four goals, including 31 Premier League outings last season, as Brighton finished eighth to qualify for the Conference League. He joined from Lille in 2023 and departs with a heartfelt message to the fans. I will be looking for your result every week for the rest of my life."

The Captain's verdict
United skipper Bruno Fernandes gave his new teammate a strong endorsement: "A huge talent that the club has been trying to follow for a long time. Someone who can improve our team and brings qualities we don't already have in the club.

What's next?
With Champions League football returning to Old Trafford for the first time since 2023–24, United's midfield rebuild continues at pace.
